Five Events, Five Habits: A Field Card for Every Rotation
Updated Oct 25, 2026
Every rotating event in Clash of Critters asks for something slightly different. Fishing rewards patience, Zobo Shooter punishes stubbornness, Marathon is mostly about timing, Cozy Farm is about who you borrow, and Treasure Hunt lives or dies by your partners. This page skips the long rulebooks and gives you the one or two habits per event that actually move your rewards.
If you want the bigger picture first (which event to save for and when to claim), start with the pinball banking guide.
Your team is half the result
Most of your stockpile ends up in Fishing and Zobo Shooter, and both pay out according to how the whole team performs. A great solo run on a dead team still ends low on the ranking.
A few ways to stop getting stuck with idle partners:
- Recruit with numbers. When you post or answer a team call, say roughly how many pinballs you are bringing and ask the others to show theirs. Someone claiming a big stack without a screenshot is a gamble.
- Keep the good ones. When a stranger you were matched with plays hard and keeps your hours, message them and offer to group for the next event.
- Look for lonely carries. A high-level player sitting at rank 1 with three low-level partners is often happy to switch to a team that pulls its weight.
Four people who log in during the same window will often outscore a stronger team spread across time zones, especially in Fishing, where shared bait only lasts ten minutes.
Zobo Shooter: set a ceiling before you shoot
Bosses in the Shooter have no health bar. Each shot is its own roll, and whoever lands the winning roll takes the chest. That single fact explains most of the advice:
- The Shaman is the prize. It has the lowest kill rate of any boss but the richest drops. The two-headed Zobo dies easily and pays little.
- Decide your limit in advance. Because there is no damage building up, a Shaman that has eaten 10,000 coins is no closer to dying than a fresh one. Pick a ceiling (10,000 coins per Shaman is a sensible one), and leave when you hit it. Chasing past that is how people burn tens of thousands of coins and watch someone else land the kill.
- Grab buffs in the cheap room. Enrage speeds up your firing and Lock On makes shots ignore small Zobos and hit bosses only. If you do not have them, farm them in the 1x arena before moving up to 200x.
- Bring evolved Tatari. Higher evolution adds hit chance on top of the base roll: +2.5% at purple, +5% gold, +7.5% red and +10% rainbow.

Marathon Party: patience and a mid multiplier
Marathon converts skateboards into distance on a wheel. Three habits help:
- Hold the boards until the final day. Keep spending pinballs as usual, but sit on the skateboards and tell your team why, so nobody thinks you are inactive.
- Do not default to the biggest multiplier. A medium setting such as x20 or x50 tends to stretch your boards further than maxing out.
- Pick rewards in a fixed order. Pinballs first, then
, then capsules, with food and candy last.
Cozy Farm: borrow well, spend late
Cozy Farm is the gentlest event and also the stingiest. Unless it feeds an evolution trial you need, do not pour much into it.
When you do play, the support Tatari on each plot matter more than anything you plant. Borrow from friends or any player whose UID you know, and reserve popular trainers before they hit their pick limit. Watering for teammates and collecting support every round costs nothing, so do it even though the natural growth score is small.
On fertiliser: the plot with the highest support multiplier is the obvious target, but repeated doses on the same crop lose strength, so weigh the two before dumping everything in one place. And because the event claims rewards on its own, save the fertilising for day three.
The Cozy Farm deep dive walks through growth speed and plot choice step by step.
Treasure Hunt: choose partners before you dig
Once you join a Treasure Hunt team you cannot back out, and every board is shared between you and one partner. An absent partner means fewer pickaxes on your boards and fewer keys overall.
Before agreeing, ask each person what key count they are aiming for. For a free account, around two keys per teammate (eight total) is a solid target. A workable split: dig your partner's first key yourself, let them handle the second map, then look in on the closing day and finish any gaps with your own pickaxes.
When digging, remember that a treasure only counts once every tile of its shape is uncovered. Rather than finishing the first one you hit, keep probing nearby; stray hits can set off bombs that clear extra tiles for free. If guessing feels wasteful, the Tatadex treasure solver suggests where to dig next.
Events also pay into evolution
Some evolution trials are completed simply by spending event resources, which is a good reason to check the trial list before an event starts. A few examples from the trial data:
| Evolution | Trial requirement (either option) |
|---|---|
Firefox → Flarevix![]() | 2,000 skateboards or 4,000 fertiliser |
Bubbit → Tideon![]() | 2,000 rods or 2,000 skateboards |
Blitzmane → Stormlion![]() | 6,000 skateboards or 6,000 rods |
Voltverine → Voltreaver![]() | 6,000 rods or 6,000 skateboards |
Should one of these be on your list, even a "weak" event like Cozy Farm suddenly becomes worth your fertiliser.

Tatadex verdict
Across these tips, Fox sees one thing come up in almost every event: teammates matter a lot. A steady team that is online at the same time usually goes further than a strong team where everyone plays at different hours.
The 10,000-coin rule per Shaman in Zobo Shooter is the tip Fox finds most worth remembering, because it stops the sunk-cost urge to keep pouring coins into a boss that won't die. And don't invest much in Cozy Farm unless you need evolution materials.
