Chapter 19 teams: stages 19-10 to 19-80

8 stages · 72 teams

Listed levels barely budge in chapter 19, sitting at 383 for most of it and 390 for the last two stages, but the stages themselves pull in different directions. 19-10 is a lightning problem rather than a team problem, 19-30 brings in four new units at once, 19-40 leans on luck more than most, and the 19-50 boss was so easy that one clear saw it melt in seconds in the cactus lane. On 19-70, Swaystroll stands alone at the very front of lane 5. On the 19-80 boss, the hydro-pump enemy makes the left lane the hard one.

Rockwu, Waveflutter and Tideon are the backbone, and Zapantler, Stalkerix, Ignisnap, Trippet, Frugatoad, Flarevix and Frostique rotate around them. Zapantler is the unit to watch: on 19-10 the fix was simply nudging the deer forward until Cheerlet's buffs reach it, and on 19-20 the pair stand alone at the back of lane 2, so the lance alone has to halt anything walking toward the healer. A T3 butterfly made a big difference on 19-40. The good news is that 19-60 is beatable with neither a T3 deer nor a T3 Charflutter, as long as you accept retries; on the boss there, try the mushroom in the chicken's place.

Stage 19-10

8 teams · Suggested level: 321–394

Notes on stage 19-10

19-10 (level 383) has a lightning problem, and players who had trouble said the other lanes were fine. The fix that came up was moving the deer up into Cheerlet's buff range, and a few retries may be needed.

In Lineup 1 the deer is Zapantler at the back of lane 5, behind Cobbledon and Cheerlet. Cheerlet's dance heals nearby allies and boosts attack and defence, so where Zapantler stands decides whether its endless lance gets that boost.

As for lane 2, it's the deepest: Stalkerix in the second row, Rockwu, Pandaroot and Frugatoad. Lane 1 contains Kitjitsu, Waveflutter and Tideon, with Waveflutter right behind the tiger. Lane 4 features Electroar, Trippet and Frostique. Lane 3 runs with Ignisnap and Flarevix, a fire pair with a gap between them.

One heavily over-levelled player shared their version and said it might give ideas even if it doesn't fit your level.

Flametail has been the swap for Tideon, Azurion or Capypapa have gone in for Waveflutter, Zapooch for Zapantler, and Frugagon for Frugatoad.

Stage 19-20

7 teams · Suggested level: 329–383

Notes on stage 19-20

19-20 (level 383) keeps Zapantler behind Cheerlet, this time in lane 2, where they're the one two units, in the fourth and fifth rows. That pair has no front, so the deer's lance has to stop enemies before they reach the healer.

Hellhound is in lane 5, in the fourth row behind Ospisces and ahead of Flarevix. Ospisces pulls enemies together and stacks Tidesurge Weak when several are pulled, Hellhound's flames add more Weak, and Flarevix's blooms land in the crowd.

Lane 3 acts as the long one: Stalkerix in the second row, Cluckeroo, Trippet and Ignisnap. As recorded, lane 1 is Frostique, Tideon and Waveflutter, three water supports and damage with no guardian. For reference, lane 4 is Capobeetle, Frugatoad and Rockwu.

A level-355 player with dojos at 4-3-3-3-3 cleared this run of stages with a shared version.

Swaystroll has been the swap for Tideon twice, and Turtuff has twice gone in for Frugatoad. Blitzmane has stood in for Cheerlet, and Cobbledon for Frugatoad.

Stage 19-30

10 teams · Suggested level: 342–384

Notes on stage 19-30

19-30 brings in four new units, and a level-355 player with dojos at 4-3-3-3-3 said the last few stages of the run were very close and they won because they were over-levelled.

As for lane 3, it's the new fire lane from the second row: Hellhound, Sizzribb, Charflutter and Tideon. Sizzribb, the T2 of Poakie, is a guardian that spits flames to Burn and sometimes keeps spitting non-stop, then consumes the Burn for a follow-up hit. Charflutter, the T3 of Ashlarva, heals with a ring of flames that deals large area damage and boosts attack.

Lane 5 is new too: Rockshell, Cheerspring and Gemsnail. Rockshell's spinning shell grants a Shell Shield to every ally it passes. Cheerspring is the T3 of Cheerling. Gemsnail summons a Crystal Cluster at the start and launches shards that resonate as they pass.

Lane 2 runs with Rockzilla, Rockwu and Frugagon. Down lane 4 it's Blitzmane, Surgehoof and Sparkdoe. Lane 1 runs with Frostique and Waveflutter.

There's also an alternative for players without the T3 of Ignisnap. Cheerlet has been the swap for Surgehoof four times, Swaystroll has twice gone in for Waveflutter, and Turtuff has twice gone in for Rockzilla.

Stage 19-40

10 teams · Suggested level: 342–405

Notes on stage 19-40

19-40, at level 383, depends heavily on luck, and players said so. One got it working but had to retry a bit, another was stuck and unsure they had the lightning damage for it, and a T3 butterfly was called game-changing.

Lightning is lane 3: Electroar in the second row, Surgehoof, Zapantler and Waveflutter at the back. Electroar's arc knocks enemies back, Surgehoof splashes, and Zapantler's lance sometimes keeps piercing. Waveflutter right behind the deer lets those piercing hits carry Slow and Sleep.

Lane 1 turns out to be the tiger lane: Kitjitsu, Firecoil and Flarevix. Firecoil heals the tiger from right behind it. On paper, lane 2 is Rockwu, Trippet and Tideon. Also, lane 5 is Stalkerix, Solaflora and Frugatoad. On paper, lane 4 is Cheerlet in the third row and Ignisnap at the back, with a gap.

Lane 4 turns out to be the thin one. Cheerlet leads it with no guardian ahead, and Ignisnap's burn is the lane's damage.

Frugagon or Frostluna have replaced Ignisnap, and Turtuff has gone in for Trippet.

Stage 19-50

10 teams · Suggested level: 340–388

Notes on stage 19-50

19-50 (level 383) has a boss players found easy. One said it spawned in the cactus lane and melted in seconds, calling it the easiest boss ever, and another got through easily with both the frog and the mushroom at T1.

Lineup 1 starts every lane in the third row, three deep. On this board, lane 1 is Firecoil, Trippet and Flarevix: the ring heals and boosts attack, the spores add attack speed, and Flarevix fires faster behind both. Note that lane 3 is Stalkerix, Capobeetle and Frugatoad, the frog lane, with Capobeetle's Fragile dash behind the mantis.

In this setup, lane 5 is Ospisces, Solaflora and Waveflutter. Ospisces pulls enemies into a whirlpool, Solaflora heals and boosts from the middle, and Waveflutter sits right behind it, so Solaflora's seeds can Slow and Sleep. As listed, lane 4 is Cheerlet, Rockwu and Zapantler. Layout-wise, lane 2 is Ignisnap, Frostique and Tideon.

A level-355 player with dojos at 4-3-3-3-3 cleared the first part of this run of stages with a shared version.

Frugagon has been swapped in for Frugatoad twice. Boldclaw or Cluckeroo have gone in for Ignisnap, Sparkdoe, Rockzilla or Seaswirl for Zapantler, Cheerspring for Cheerlet, and Azurion for Flarevix.

Stage 19-60

9 teams · Suggested level: 342–392

Notes on stage 19-60

19-60, a level-383 stage, can be done without a T3 deer or a T3 Charflutter, players said, as long as you're willing to retry. If the boss isn't dying, one suggestion was the mushroom in place of the chicken. Another player said seeing just the mantis there made them glad theirs was T3.

Lane 1 is where that shows. Stalkerix leads from the second row, then Capobeetle, Nimbuzzy and Frugatoad. Nimbuzzy's dark clouds paralyse, and with Capobeetle's Fragile dash ahead of it, the mantis holds a lane full of debuffed enemies on its own.

Also, lane 4 is Zapooch, Rockwu and Waveflutter after a gap. Specifically, lane 2 is Frostique, Cheerlet and Zapantler, with the healer between the ice and the deer. Note that lane 3 is Electroar, Synthhog and Tideon, all softening: knockback, Scouted and Fragile, then Tideon's mist.

For this stage, lane 5 is Ignisnap and Flarevix in the fourth and fifth rows, with nothing ahead. That pair is the board's late damage, and if anything leaks, it's there.

Turtuff has replaced Zapooch, and Snowcub or Snoozebo have gone in for Zapantler.

Stage 19-70

8 teams · Suggested level: 342–394

Notes on stage 19-70

19-70, at level 390, starts lane 5 in the very first row with Swaystroll, while Frostique waits three rows behind it. Swaystroll's Ice Shield charges up while it holds, and when it breaks the stored ice comes out as area damage, so the long stand works in its favour.

The centre has two four-deep lanes. Looking at the grid, lane 2 is Rockwu, Cheerspring, Trippet and Tideon. Cheerspring is the T3 of Cheerling and keeps Cheerlet's dance: healing, attack and defence boosts, and Invincibility the first time a nearby ally is in Danger. That's what lets Trippet's spores cost HP without losing the lane.

As recorded, lane 3 is Synthhog, Surgehoof, Zapantler and Waveflutter, all lightning except the butterfly, which sits right behind the deer. On this board, lane 1 is Turtuff, Capobeetle and Humbleetle.

On paper, lane 4 is Firecoil and Ignisnap in the fourth and fifth rows, a healer and a burn with nothing to protect them.

A level-355 player with dojos at 4-3-3-3-3 cleared this run of stages with a shared version.

Cheerlet has been swapped in for Cheerspring, Blitzmane has gone in for Synthhog, Cobbledon for Trippet, and Boltskipper for Capobeetle.

Stage 19-80

10 teams · Suggested level: 342–400

Notes on stage 19-80

19-80 is the chapter boss at level 390, and the left lane is the hard one because of the hydro-pump enemy. Players reported clears at level 376, with every dojo at 3 or higher, and at 419. One shared an alternative for anyone without the butterfly and the water evolution line at T3.

In Lineup 1 the left lane is Cobbledon in the third row with Zapantler two rows behind it and nothing between. That's a thin answer to the hydro-pump, which is why it's the lane people struggle with.

Lane 3 counts as the full water lane: Swaystroll in the second row, Waveflutter, Trippet and Tideon. Waveflutter is right behind the tank, so Swaystroll's ice crystals can Slow and Sleep, and Trippet's spores speed up the lane.

As recorded, lane 2 is Stalkerix, Cheerspring and Rockwu. On the grid, lane 4 is Electroar, Surgehoof and Synthhog. In this lineup, lane 5 is Ignisnap, Frugatoad and Flarevix.

Frostique has twice replaced Trippet. Turtuff has gone in for Cobbledon, which is one way to give the left lane a sturdier front, and Blitzmane for Electroar.
