What makes chapter 18 different is that several of its early boards keep the team away from the front. 18-10 and 18-20 leave the first row bare across all five lanes, while 18-30 does the opposite and lays out a flat board, every lane three deep from the first row, with no long lane and no empty one. Listed levels drift between about 318 and 380. The 18-40 pharaoh is the fight people talk about, and the trick is coaxing it into the lane where your evolved Manteeny and Frugling wait, and that can mean several attempts. 18-70 has tanky buglers that hold their lane past the time limit.
Cheerlet, Rockwu, Frostique, Blitzmane and Azurion form the regular core, with Turtuff, Frugagon and Waveflutter close behind. Waveflutter's cell on 18-60, third row of lane 3 between Swaystroll and Capypapa, is the one to think about if you lack the T3 butterfly, because its sleep spreads to the neighbours there. On 18-70, the fix is damage rather than survival. The 18-80 boss is where copied lineups needed changes most; one player had to replace the Goonbugs for lack of a T2 version. Treat a shared team as a starting point here and adjust around what you own.

18-10 at level 327 starts every lane in the second row or later. A level-349 player with dojos at 4-3-3-3-3 cleared it using a shared version.
Lane 3 is the water lane and the one lane in the second row: Swaystroll, Tideon, Trippet and Waveflutter. Tideon's mist slows and makes enemies Fragile, Trippet's spores speed up the lane's attacks, and Waveflutter at the back sits right behind Trippet, so the spores can carry Slow and Sleep.
Lane 4 is a fire lane without a guardian: Kitjitsu, Ignisnap and Frostique. Ignisnap's burn is right behind the tiger, which is what lets it dash and heal.
Lane 5 is Cobbledon, Turtuff and Rockwu. Lane 1 is Electroar, Cheerlet and Zapantler. Lane 2 is Frugatoad and Flarevix in the fourth and fifth rows.
Lane 2 has no front at all, so watch it early. Frugatoad's fruit and Flarevix's blooms have to clear it before enemies get there.
Rockzilla or Pyrohound have replaced Ignisnap, Flametail has gone in for Cobbledon, and Humbleetle for Turtuff.

18-20, listed at level 328, starts every lane in the second row. In the recorded lineup, a level-349 player with dojos at 4-3-3-3-3 cleared it with a shared version, and in one run the same lineup carried on to 18-24 and 18-25 after swapping Frostnip and Voltfawn.
Lane 3 acts as the longest: Stalkerix, Frugagon, Synthhog and Cactobloom. Synthhog marks a wide area with Scouted and Fragile, and Cactobloom's Sting stacks implode as stung enemies die, so the debuffs and the chain explosions feed each other.
Inside lane 2 sit Rockzilla, Trippet and Turtuff, two guardians sharing the spores. Look at lane 1: Blitzmane, Sparkdoe and Capypapa. Lane 4 is unusual: Frostique leads it, with Cheerlet and Azurion behind.
Lane 5 carries Voltling and Rockwu, two guardians with no damage dealer behind them. Voltling's shadow attack paralyses and Rockwu's clones carry the damage.
Ospisces or Zapooch have replaced Capypapa, and Swaystroll has stood in for Voltling.

18-30, a level-328 stage, is a flat board. Every lane starts in the first row and is three deep, so there's no long lane and no empty one. In the recorded lineup, a level-349 player with dojos at 4-3-3-3-3 cleared it with a shared version.
That shape means each lane has to stand on its own. Lane 1 lines up Blitzmane, Sparkdoe and Surgehoof, all lightning. Lane 2 holds Swaystroll, Firecoil and Azurion, with the healer in the middle. Lane 3 is home to Stalkerix, Frugagon and Bubbit. Lane 4 fields Turtuff, Cheerlet and Rockwu.
Lane 5 runs with Sealoon in the middle. Its bouncing ball ricochets between enemies and inflicts Weak, which lowers the damage that reaches Voltling at the front while Frostique slows them from behind. Voltling's paralysis on top of that makes it a defensive lane rather than a damage lane.
Lane 1 turns out to be the one with nothing to heal it, so if a lane falls early, it's likely that one.
Ospisces has been a substitute for Sealoon twice, Cobbledon has twice gone in for Firecoil, and Jarachnid has stood in for Rockwu.

18-40, at level 344, is remembered for its boss. Players called the pharaoh, the mummy boss, the hardest part of chapter 18, and the trick is getting it to spawn in the lane holding the evolved Manteeny and Frugling, which can take a few runs. One player who had just finished their run from chapter 17 to 19 in one day said this lineup was what got them there.
In Lineup 1 those two are side by side in lanes 3 and 4. Serrabloom, the T3 of Manteeny, leads lane 3 from the third row with Rockwu and Cluckeroo behind it. It strikes continuously for area damage and inflicts Fragile, so every hit softens the boss for the monkey's clones.
Lane 4 is the deepest: Blitzmane in the second row, Frugagon, Cheerlet and Sparkdoe. Lane 1 is Pyrohound, Goonbug and Azurion. Lane 2 is Kitjitsu, Flametail and Waveflutter. Lane 5 is Boldclaw and Frostique.
Swaystroll has replaced Boldclaw three times, and Turtuff or Ospisces have also gone in there. Ignisnap has stood in for Flametail, Sizzribb for Goonbug, Firecoil for Kitjitsu, Solaflora for Cluckeroo, and Lollama for Sparkdoe.

18-50, listed at level 325, runs a lightning lane in the centre: Zapooch in the second row, Sparkdoe, Surgehoof and Bubbit. Zapooch chains lightning, Sparkdoe's lance paralyses, Surgehoof's shock waves splash more on Water enemies, and Bubbit's mist adds Slow and Fragile at the back.
Solaflora is the healer in lane 4, between Frugagon and Waveflutter. Its sunlight heals and boosts attack and defence, and its seeds add sunlight on hit. With Waveflutter right behind it, those seeds can also Slow and Sleep.
Specifically, lane 1 is Cobbledon, Synthhog and Turtuff. Note that lane 2 is Blitzmane, Cheerlet and Rockwu. Layout-wise, lane 5 is Sealoon and Azurion in the fourth and fifth rows, with no front.
One player at level 349, dojos 4-3-3-3-3, got through it using a shared lineup.
Tideon has been a substitute for Azurion or Sealoon, Frostique has gone in for Bubbit, Stalkerix for Solaflora, Rockhog for Rockwu, Gemsnail for Cobbledon, Boltskipper for Surgehoof, and Voltling for Blitzmane.

18-60 (level 318) sets every lane in the first row, and one player asked for help because they had no T3 butterfly. That's the cell to think about: Waveflutter is in the third row of lane 3, behind Swaystroll and Frostique and ahead of Capypapa.
Placed there, it's adjacent to both the ice and the healer, so Frostique's shards and Capypapa's zesty bullets can carry its Slow and Sleep. Without it, lane 3 loses much of its control. Ripplewing has replaced it twice, which gives you the Slow and Sleep on its own bombs without the shared effect.
Lane 5 is a full rock lane: Cobbledon, Turtuff and Humbleetle. Specifically, lane 4 is Jarachnid, Cheerlet and Azurion. As listed, lane 2 is Blitzmane, Rockwu and Tideon. In this lineup, lane 1 is Goonbug and Stalkerix.
A shared version carried a level-349 player with 4-3-3-3-3 dojos through this one.
Rattlecoil has twice replaced Humbleetle. Bubbit has gone in for Goonbug or Tideon, Flametail or Sparkdoe also for Tideon, Gemsnail for Turtuff, and Rockzilla for Cobbledon.

18-70, at level 318, has a lane that won't die. One player asked why the buglers have so much HP, saying they killed the boss before they could clear that lane in the time limit.
That makes damage the issue. On the grid, lane 3 is the grass lane from the second row: Cactobloom, Frugagon, Stalkerix and Waveflutter. Cactobloom's Sting implodes as stung enemies die, which helps against a crowd but is slow to start on high-HP enemies.
In this setup, lane 4 is the fire lane: Pyrohound, Firecoil, Cheerlet and Azurion, two healers between the pillar and the burn. Note that lane 1 is Blitzmane, Maskfry and Sparkdoe, pull ahead of the piercing lance. For this stage, lane 2 is Rockwu with Tideon two rows behind. Note that lane 5 is Swaystroll and Frostique.
A level-321 player with dojos at 3-3-4-3-3 cleared it with the lion, the monkey and the butterfly at T3 and the deer at T2.
Clawzor has replaced Pyrohound twice. Cobbledon or Rockzilla have gone in for Tideon, Slobberlama for Cactobloom, Ospisces or Boldclaw for Maskfry, Electroar for Swaystroll, and Ripplewing for Waveflutter.

18-80 is the chapter boss at level 380, and players found copied lineups needed adjusting. One said they copied a popular version but changed the Goonbugs because they didn't have a T2 one, and another was surprised some shared versions didn't work even at higher levels.
In Lineup 1 the Goonbug line is Capobeetle, in the fourth row of lane 1 behind Stalkerix and Cluckeroo. Its dash adds Fragile, and Goonbug has replaced it, which is the downgrade players without the T2 used.
As for lane 4, it's the long one: Pyrohound, Cheerlet, Frugagon and Azurion. In this lineup, lane 5 is Cobbledon, Turtuff and Humbleetle. In this setup, lane 3 is Blitzmane, Frostique and Ripplewing, all control. In this lineup, lane 2 is Rockwu and Bubbit in the third and fourth rows.
Lane 2 ends up being the light one. Sparkdoe has been used in place of Bubbit three times, and Tideon twice, which suggests players wanted more there. Firecoil has three times gone in for Pyrohound.
Frugatoad has stood in for Cluckeroo, Jarachnid for Capobeetle, Zapantler for Bubbit, and Ospisces for Ripplewing.
Lineups are numbered in the order shown above, left to right, top to bottom.
