Chapter 11 teams: stages 11-10 to 11-80

8 stages · 54 teams

Bosses set the tone for chapter 11. Half of its recorded stages are boss fights, and players remember them with words like nightmare and last-minute clutch. On 11-30 the boss's own lane isn't even the problem; the lanes beside it get swarmed. The boards swing hard between stages too. 11-10 leaves its edge lane empty until the fourth row, 11-50 sets almost everything back, and 11-60 fills the first row of every lane. Listed levels climb from about 196 to 219, and 11-80 has enough variance that the same team can hold in one run and fold in the next.

Stalkerix, Cheerlet and Frostique form the backbone, present on every board, with Frostique's ice blocks now splitting into piercing shards. Electroar, Frugagon, Cluckeroo and Firecoil fill in around them. The new names are worth a look: Zaplet marks enemies over a wide area so they take damage when the mark ends, Newflamander pushes the fire lane further, and Voltverine, the evolved Voltling, leads lane 5 on 11-60. The strongest lane in the chapter is the 11-20 centre of Pyrohound, Firecoil and Azurion, so if you're short on levels, feed that fire line first. For 11-70, a T3 cat was the specific upgrade players pointed to.

Stage 11-10

3 teams · Suggested level: 190–221

Notes on stage 11-10

11-10 opens chapter 11 at level 196, and its edge lane is almost empty at the front. Lane 1 has nothing until Bubbit in the fourth row and Frostique in the fifth, so enemies walk most of the way before anything slows them.

The rest of the board starts in the first row. Lane 3 turns out to be the deepest: Stalkerix at the front, Frugagon behind it, then Cluckeroo and Buddi. Buddi, the sunflower, shines sunlight that heals allies and boosts their attack, so Stalkerix has two healers behind it this time.

Looking at the grid, lane 2 is Cobbledon and Turtuff with Zaplet in the third row. Specifically, lane 4 is Pyrohound, Cheerlet and Azurion. In this setup, lane 5 is Electroar, Voltling and Sparkdoe, a lane that knocks back and paralyses twice.

A player who cleared this at level 201, with dojos at 3-3-3-2-2, said it came very close to the timer and thought lane 2 could use something stronger than the snake. If lane 2 is your problem too, Humbleetle has been used instead of Zaplet. Funglet has been used in place of Buddi, and Zapooch has stood in for Voltling.

Stage 11-20

8 teams · Suggested level: 190–221

Notes on stage 11-20

11-20 (level 196) moves the fire to the centre and pushes the rock lane back. For reference, lane 3 is Pyrohound, Firecoil and Azurion from the first row, the strongest lane on the board.

Lane 2 starts in the second row with Cobbledon and Turtuff, then Zaplet and Flametail behind. Zaplet spreads Scouted over a wide area, and enemies take damage when it runs out, which adds up when Flametail's fireworks are landing on the same group.

Note that lane 4 is Stalkerix with Cheerlet right behind it and Cluckeroo in the third row. With a dance that heals and a seed that heals, Stalkerix is better supported here than in most of chapter 10. For reference, lane 5 is Electroar, Zapooch and Sparkdoe.

Lane 1 counts as the thin edge again: Swaystroll in the fourth row and Frostique at the back. Swaystroll's Ice Shield charges up and fires ice crystals when it breaks, so the longer it holds, the harder the blast.

Ignisnap has been the swap for Azurion twice, and Pyroprawn once. Waddledo or Polarpaw have gone in for Swaystroll, and Frugling instead of Cluckeroo.

Stage 11-30

7 teams · Suggested level: 200–223

Notes on stage 11-30

11-30 is a boss stage, and the trouble isn't the boss's own lane. Players said the lanes on either side of it are the hard part, because enemies there swarm your units. One player held them by putting four tataris in each of those two lanes. Another couldn't clear it without a T3 cat and found the right lane strange.

Lineup 1 is set for level 200, with every lane starting in the first row. Lane 3 serves as the deepest: Cobbledon at the front, Cheerlet behind it, then Turtuff and Rockhog, whose mud balls slow. Cheerlet's dance heals the guardians in front of and behind it.

In lane 2 you'll find Stalkerix with Cluckeroo and Frugagon. Lane 4 carries Electroar, Rockfu and Zaplet; Rockfu's clone gives enemies an extra target while Zaplet scouts them. Lane 5 contains Firecoil at the front, Azurion two rows back, and Frostique. Down lane 1 it's Pyrohound alone at the front with Flametail far behind in the fourth row.

Sparkdoe has been the swap for Zaplet twice. Rattlecoil has stood in for Rockhog or Turtuff, and Frostpaw instead of Frostique.

Stage 11-40

9 teams · Suggested level: 197–230

Notes on stage 11-40

11-40 is a boss that players called a nightmare. Lineup 1 is set for level 205, and its centre is the one lane that starts at the very front.

Lane 3 acts as the lightning lane. Electroar knocks back from the first row, then Sparkdoe's lance paralyses, Boltskipper's orb binds and Surgehoof at the back fires a shock wave that splashes, with more splashes against Water enemies. It's a lane built to stop the boss and keep it stopped.

Lane 1 is where the new unit sits. Newflamander, the salamander, is the T4 of the fire lizard line. It throws burning fireballs like Azurion, the form it evolved from, and it also grants Aura: Fire just by being on the field. Firecoil and Maskfry stand in front of it.

The other lanes start late. In lane 2 you'll find Turtuff, Cheerlet and Rockfu from the third row; lane 5 is Swaystroll, Capypapa and Frostique; lane 4 is Stalkerix with Frugagon two rows back. In a level-201 clear, the mantis held a lane by itself with Cheerling and Ashlarva supporting it, each the T1 form of Cheerlet and Firecoil.

Humbleetle has gone in instead of Rockfu twice, Bubbit has gone in for Surgehoof twice, and Voltverine instead of Turtuff twice.

Stage 11-50

9 teams · Suggested level: 201–229

Notes on stage 11-50

11-50, a level-201 stage, pushes almost everything back. Lane 4 starts in the second row; the rest begin in the third.

Lane 4 acts as the main lane and it's four deep: Firecoil, Cheerlet, Newflamander and Pyrohound at the back. Firecoil's ring and Cheerlet's dance both heal, so the front of this lane is very hard to break, and Newflamander's burning fireballs and fire aura do the damage from behind.

Lane 2 holds the other new unit, Blitzmane. It's the evolved form of Electroar, the T3 of the Zappur line. It fires an energizing wave that knocks enemies back and grants nearby allies Morale, a damage boost. From the fifth row its boost reaches Sparkdoe and Frostique, the two units ahead.

Note that lane 1 is Bubbit, Ripplewing and Swaystroll, all water: Fragile, slow and Sleep, with the penguin's shield at the back. Grid-wise, lane 3 is Frugagon, Cluckeroo and Stalkerix, and lane 5 is Rockfu and Cobbledon.

One player moved lane 1 up a row so the lion's boost reached Maskfry in their alternative version, and swapped the dung beetle for the snake and the fox for the salamander. Turtuff has been used in place of Rockfu twice.

Stage 11-60

5 teams · Suggested level: 209–231

Notes on stage 11-60

11-60 is a boss at level 212, and every lane starts in the first row. The new face is Voltverine at the front of lane 5, the evolved form of Voltling. Its shadow attack paralyses just as it did before it evolved from Voltling, and it gains brief Invincibility every time it attacks, which makes it a very safe front.

Behind Voltverine, Bubbit's mist slows and marks Fragile, and Frostique at the back fires its splitting ice. With paralysis at the front and Fragile behind, lane 5 is a strong place to hold enemies.

Then there's lane 3, the support lane: Electroar, Cheerlet, Sparkdoe and Cluckeroo. Lane 2 contains Firecoil at the front, Maskfry pulling enemies together behind it, Zaplet scouting, and Newflamander in the fifth row.

The edges are long and empty. Lane 1 is made up of Stalkerix with Frugagon four rows back, and lane 4 is Boldclaw with Capypapa in the third row.

A player cleared this one at level 225 with dojos at 3-3-3-1-3. Synthhog has been a substitute for Zaplet, Swaystroll has stood in for Voltverine or Capypapa, and Blitzmane instead of Electroar.

Stage 11-70

7 teams · Suggested level: 208–258

Notes on stage 11-70

11-70 is a boss at level 217, and players called it a last-minute clutch. One recommended a T3 cat if you have one.

Every lane starts in the first row. Lane 5 ends up being the fire lane with Pyrohound, Firecoil and Flametail. On paper, lane 4 is Cobbledon, Cheerlet and Turtuff, so the rock guardians have a healer between them. Lane 3 starts with Swaystroll, then Zaplet, Capypapa and Frostique; the penguin's shield charges up while Capypapa heals behind it.

Lane 2 is just Electroar and Newflamander. Electroar's knockback keeps enemies away from the salamander two rows back, and Newflamander's burning fireballs and fire aura carry the damage. It's a thin lane for a boss stage, and it relies on the neighbours.

For this stage, lane 1 is Stalkerix at the front with Frugagon and Cluckeroo in the last two rows.

A player at level 201 with dojos at 3-3-3-2-2 used the boar instead of the dung beetle because theirs was T1. Kitjitsu has been the swap for Firecoil, Ignisnap has gone in for Newflamander, and Gibber instead of Turtuff.

Stage 11-80

6 teams · Suggested level: 208–258

Notes on stage 11-80

11-80 (level 219) takes a few tries. A player said lane 2 sometimes held and sometimes didn't, so expect some variance.

Lane 2 carries Electroar in the second row, Cheerlet behind it and Frostique in the fourth. It's a support, a healer and a damage dealer with no guardian, which is why it's unreliable. When Cheerlet's invincibility triggers at the right moment, it holds; when it doesn't, Electroar goes down.

The centre is the strongest lane. Lane 3 is five deep from the front: Stalkerix, Firecoil, Frugagon, Zaplet and Cluckeroo. Stalkerix has a ring of flames and a healing seed behind it, plus Frugagon's slow and Zaplet's Scouted.

Lane 1 fields Swaystroll, Bubbit and Newflamander, with the salamander at the back. Lane 4 carries Cobbledon and Turtuff, and lane 5 is Zapooch in the third row with Sparkdoe at the back.

If lane 2 keeps dying, Blitzmane has replaced Electroar there and Capypapa has gone in for Cheerlet. Voltling or Synthhog have stood in for Zapooch, and Puncharoo or Rockfu instead of Turtuff.
