The Food Ledger: Bento Odds, Grade Breakpoints and a Feeding Order That Lasts

Updated Oct 25, 2026

Every long-running account hits the same wall eventually, and it is rarely candy or pinballs. It is food. Evolutions, stat grades and late trials all draw from the same small pool, so the players who stay ahead treat food like a budget: know where each unit comes from, know what a bento is actually worth, and spend only where it moves an evolution forward.

What is inside a bento

Three kinds exist, and the odds below trace back to an answer the game's support team gave on the official Korean forum:

BentoCookieBlue foodPurple foodGold foodAverage value
Blue64%34%1.5%0.5%2.64
Purplenone40%55%5%9
Luxurynonenone75%25%15

Read across the bottom row: a luxury bento is worth almost six blue ones. Blue bento mostly open into cookies.

Running the bento maker

The maker turns nine cookies into one purple bento. Since a purple bento averages nine points and each cookie is worth one, the exchange is break-even on paper. It is still worth running for three reasons:

  • The daily cap. A Tatari can only be fed 15 times a day, so a stack of single-point cookies takes forever to push through.
  • Element targeting. Elemental bento pour food into a single element rather than thinning it across five.
  • Trial stockpiles. Certain trials want a stack of 15 of a single gold dish or sixty purple ones, a pile that is painfully slow to collect without the maker.

Lightning is the element where this matters most right now. So many strong Lightning units see play in every mode that Lightning food runs short first. Spare cookies are best spent on Lightning bento.

What a stat grade is worth

Each stat on a Tatari has a food grade, and the grade sets a percentage boost over the base. The boosts replace each other; they do not stack. A stat moving from C to B goes from +10% to +25% total, not +35%.

GradeEDCBASSSSSS
Boost0%5%10%25%40%50%55%60%

The jumps tell the story. C to B and B to A are the big steps; past A, each grade adds only five or ten points while costing far more food. For most accounts, A is a sensible ceiling until everything you care about is already there. Because each Tatari levels its stats in its own order, a single "boost per food" figure does not translate cleanly from one unit to another.

Spending rules

  1. Never feed commons. Food spent on a Tatari you will not evolve is food gone.
  2. Feed to the breakpoint, then stop. Every Tatari heading for T3 needs three food levels, which is 100 + 180 + 260 = 540 points, not three letter grades. Bring each target to that line and switch; a single overfed unit holds the whole account back.
  3. Work one element target at a time. Finish your first Fire candidate before touching a second. The least expensive T3 in each element are Frugling (Grass), Blueflick (Fire), Frostnip (Water), Gibber (Rock) and Zappur (Lightning).
  4. Treat T4 feeding as late-game work. It costs so much that it rarely pays in the early and middle stretch. By the end game it becomes routine.
  5. Ring-fence trial food. Hoard the gold foods that T4 trials name, go easy on purple foods whose trials are coming up, and hold a reserve of Water and Rock dishes because fresh T4s are still being released.

The tier list helps when you cannot decide which unit deserves the food.

Glitter Fruits

A Glitter Fruit feeds like a 15-point cookie and carries a 0.4% chance of turning the Tatari glittery. The glitter is purely cosmetic. If you are chasing a particular glitter, go ahead; if you care about efficiency, feed them to whatever you are evolving right now, with Lightning first in line.

You do not have to finish feeding to grade B before starting these trials; the trial food itself counts toward the total.

Tatadex verdict

Food is scarce, so Fox thinks the most important rule is to feed with a plan: don't feed common Tatari, and give each one just enough for its next stage before moving on. Overfeeding a single Tatari is the fastest way to waste food.

Boss Challenge is the main food source, so skipping a day costs you a lot. Fox suggests treating it as a daily task, and using the boss team pages to reach a better rank.
