Notes on Dojo Grass 3-8

On the eighth stage of the grid, the question is levels. Lineup 1 uses one third form, Frugagon, three second forms and a first-form Budboo, and nothing on it heals, so how fast it wins depends almost entirely on damage.

The usual order is Frugagon first, since it covers the middle and slows enemies for the units around it. Stalkerix comes next, because it is the front of the busiest lane and the only front unit dealing steady damage. Then Jarachnid if the right is breaking, or Budboo if the left is dragging on. Pearpair benefits least from levels.

The alternatives on this stage give other options if a unit is underdeveloped. One alternative places Stalkerix in row 1 of lane 1 with Snapshade behind it, Pandaroot at the head of the middle with Frugagon behind it, and Pearpair in row 1 of lane 3. Another alternative keeps Stalkerix in the middle and stacks lane 1 deep, with Pearpair in row 1, Budboo in row 2, Frugagon in row 3 and Cactobloom in row 4. As a substitute damage dealer, Cactobloom shoots spines that build Sting stacks, which explode for area damage when the enemy dies, so it suits a lane where enemies are held in a group.

Lane 3 is left empty in that version.

Lineups are numbered in the order shown above, left to right, top to bottom.
